Youth Agility Performance Training Clinic

Sunday, May 17, 2026 · 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM Land O Lakes Recreational Center (Field 2) (5:00-7:00pm) 2-hour clinic

About this clinic

What is youth speed and agility training?

Youth speed and agility training develops how young athletes accelerate, decelerate, change direction, and react under pressure — the movements that separate players in real sport. This clinic runs for athletes aged 10–14 in small groups (typically 8–12), coached by Darren J Paul, PhD (CSCS, NASM, USA Weightlifting Level 2). Each session is structured: purposeful movement prep, technical coaching of starting, stopping, and redirecting, reactive tasks that layer in decision-making, then competitive work so skills transfer to the pitch, court, or field. It is not generic cone drills — it's proper athletic development, calibrated for where the athlete is right now, with a safety-first, age-appropriate progression. Held in the Tampa Bay area at Land O Lakes Recreational Center (Field 2) (5:00-7:00pm).

This Youth Agility Clinic is designed for athletes aged 10–14 who want to move better, not just train harder. The session focuses on developing key movement qualities such as acceleration, deceleration, and change of direction, while introducing athletes to how movement actually works in sport—not just in drills.

Athletes will be coached through structured progressions that improve coordination, control, and confidence. The goal is not just to improve speed, but to help athletes understand how to use their body more effectively, reduce unnecessary stress on joints, and build a foundation that supports both performance and long-term development.
